Maybe you noticed that I'm less active than usual on #TBlock these days.
I'm going through a lot of things in my life right now (not necessarily bad things, more like good and neutral things that still require some of my time). All that means that I don't have much time to work on the project.
Hopefully I'll be free more often this Easter, to be able to release a stable version of the GUI. -

Technology is a tool and its up to the people how they use it. Parents can use programs like #TBlock to protect their kids from harmful/malicious websites, but they can also use it to restrict/censor useful information and educational materials. All I can do is to hope that the parents are wise enough to know what's best for their kids.BTW, there are even some contries that block these websites, so its good to have tools like #Tor to circumvent this censorship.

If you use #TBlock on #Windows, you may experience the following problems:
- Slow boot time
- Huge delay before internet connectivityUnfortunately, there's nothing much we can do about it. Once again, this shows how #Microsoft wants to lock their users in an environment without letting them the possibility to escape.
Supporting big hosts file is not that much of a challenge, it works like a charm on most POSIX compliant systems. But M$ wants to track you and they'll always try to do so.

Well that isn't a contradiction in my eyes. It should just be writing the parity for all of the data that is currently pending but not block for all of the new data that is pooring in too.
I feel like there is some race condition at play here...
E.g. If I copy 14TB, have a writeback of 66GB and do a sync when the rsync is at 13TB left to be copied then it shouldn't block the "sync" until the rsync is entirely done with all 13TB as well...
