Dear Lazyfedi,
I am looking for a thermal imaging device. Details as follows: main use case is examining electronic devices, to see what runs hot etc. for fault finding. (Other incidental uses for a thermal camera that come handy, ofc). In an ideal world, I'd like a thermal camera I can attach to a lap/desktop, giving a live view. Larger sensor/more fps preferred. Needing to make software to unlock the full potential is fine, but that hinges on documentation. Building some hardware from components (sans SMD soldering or PCB fabircation) is possible, though I'd prefer something self-contained-ish. So what's out there that matches? I tried a uni-t 740, but after hours of trying to rev'egineer it, I've given up. Its hw specs are in the neighborhood of what I am looking for.
Please boost/ping as is appropriate.
