Ever ended up with a POCSAG pager that has only a partial RIC and, at best, a hand-wavy clue about where it is tuned? I wrote this for exactly that sort of nonsense: https://github.com/yo3gnd/pocsag-probe. It works. Eventually.

Current plans concerning EasterHegg (still might change):
Only two or three members of our group will make the journey to Koblenz, and we haven't registered for an assembly spot.But we plan to bring a few assembled pagers and at least a small test transmitter (very limited range) so we can do a demonstration on the fly.
If you are interested, leave a comment, and we'll try to organise a little meet-up :)

Но если задуматься, то пейджинговые сети решали довольно современную задачу: массово рассылали индивидуальные и групповые сообщения тысячам абонентов. В наш век IoT такие рассылки вновь актуальны. Если же копнуть глубже, то мы увидим совсем удивительные вещи: высочайшая помехоустойчивость, сверхизбыточное кодирование и технология энергосбережения батарейки оконечного устройства. Мы сейчас точно про пейджеры, а не про LoRaWAN какую-нибудь? Давайте вкратце вспомним историю пейджера и разберем как без обратного канала умудрялись обеспечить связь по надежности превосходящую мобильный телефон?
