I actually distinctly remember thinking "jesus, it's cheaper than the gas stations in my town" after doing the conversion to Euros (even BEFORE realizing it was per gallon).
But according to the historical gas prizes I'm finding that'd only be possible if this specific gas station was selling gas about a dollar and change cheaper than the US average at that time, so I'll just doubt my memories.

One of the times I was in bumfuck nowhere, Texas I looked out the hotel window and saw the sign of the gas station down the road.
It said ~2.00, and I thought "whew, gas sure is expensive in the US".
Then I realized I was thinking in Euros, so I did the conversion.
"Ah, it's more or less the same prize than in Spain" I thought.
Then I realized I was thinking in litres, not gallons, so I did the conversion again.

And then I had to lie down.

No shade on the "Whorl", god knows that consistently pronouncing English vowels in English is kind of a secondary objective, moreso when it's not your first language; but what is that f, man. Do a second take or something.

'm watching Forged In Fire in Spanish and whoever dubbed the host just said "World of Warcraft" as "Whorl of Whofcaf".

God yes, new MUGG!!! And with an all star cast too. I can't wait to watch these five people having a chain of self inflicted nervous breakdowns.
