Terrible Invasive Story 🙁
I had a real treat the other day when a Green Tree Frog visited me in the hot tub. I used to see these almost every day, but no more. Spring used to bring a cacophony of frogs chirping, but no more.
The reason is "The Beast" aka the #Invasive #CubanTreeFrog which EATS OTHER TREE FROGS! They are huge and toad-like. I kill them when I find them, but the battle is already lost where I live in north #Florida.
As you can see from the #Map, these invaders are moving north and are now #Endemic in my area (red circle). 👎

One man's opinion... At least two of the #Sacklers belong in #prison! Maybe more.
None of the family who benefited should retain ANY of the profits from this crime. I understand they've cynically moved their money off-shore... but hey, we've got time! We should use some of the money already recovered to help recover the rest. Job security for forensic accountants!

I volunteer with our local library support group, so I occasionally see odd or interesting books. This one caught my eye… "A Tropical Rainforest"… pretty bland until I spotted "US #AtomicEnergy Commission" as the source?!
It turns out to be vol 2 of a 3 vol report on #experiments done in #PuertoRico during the late 1960s.
