Dégustation des premiers kakis de Nikita's shift, ce petit plaqueminier que je cajole depuis le printemps. J'avais cueilli 3 fruits dont la peau avait été attaquée pour les mettre à mûrir à la maison près des pommes. C'est une variété à petits fruits, précoces. Rien à jeter, on mange tout et c'est un délice : juteux, fondant, sucré. Il reste 12 fruits sur l'arbre, qui rougissent au soleil d'automne.

Salut les passants ! Petites nouvelles de mes 3 chouchous, Aro, Fi et Nikita, chacun arrosé le matin de 2,5 litres d'eau, capacité de mon arrosoir.
Aro : A la baisse des températures, démarrage de nouvelles branches. Ses 2 coings grossissent à nouveau.
Fi : Comme prévu, une fois sa cime pincée, son tronc s'est bien renforcé et maintenant, à l'aisselle des feuilles du haut, on peut remarquer la naissance de nouvelles branches.
Nikita : Il a subi toutes les canicules sans broncher, protégeant ses kakis au maximum. Actuellement, signes de faiblesse du côté où le soleil s'est montré le plus agressif.

Salut de la nuit ! Nouvelles de deux chouchous au jardin. Nikita le plaqueminier a fait une belle poussée de croissance et dépasse largement sa maman adoptive. OK, haute comme 3 pommes mais quand même ! Ses fleurs commencent à s'ouvrir. Elles sont nombreuses cette année et j'espère une belle récolte. Le jeune cognassier s'est délesté de 3 petits coings souffreteux. Il lui en reste une dizaine en pleine forme. Un boulot monstre au jardin, la nature reprend ses droits et je cours derrière comme d'hab'. J"ai sorti la chaise-longue... J'ajoute une photo de Lisette, inspectrice des travaux.

"World leaders are losing their terror of nuclear war
Putin, Trump and Xi control the most powerful arsenals on Earth. They should take nuclear risks more seriously
Fear can paralyse, but sometimes it saves the world. More than once in the cold war a shared dread of nuclear annihilation led American and Soviet leaders to pause and seek better ways to manage arsenals whose power defied decency and reason. Sometimes the terror felt by superpower rivals averted imminent disaster, as when John F. Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev overruled their hardline counsellors to end the Cuban missile crisis of 1962. On other occasions the salutary effects of fear took longer to show themselves. A film, 'The Brink of War', has just been released to mark the 40th anniversary of a meeting between Ronald Reagan and his Soviet counterpart, Mikhail Gorbachev, in Reykjavik. Held in a cramped, reputedly haunted seaside house, the summit was intense and claustrophobic. Diplomats who took part recalled the two officers, one American and one Russian, who stood outside the leaders’ meeting room holding the 'footballs' that controlled 60,000 nuclear warheads between them.

he meeting, in October 1986, was seen as a failure at the time. Later, though, Reagan’s secretary of state, George Shultz, credited it with laying the groundwork for subsequent treaties that scrapped whole categories of nuclear weapons. Gorbachev called Reykjavik the place where the cold war’s ending was set in motion. A big breakthrough involved a mutual admission by the American and Soviet leaders that they feared and despised nuclear weapons and—shocking their more hawkish advisers—that they aspired to eliminate them all, perhaps as soon as within ten years.Talks were derailed by a dispute about Mutually Assured Destruction (mad), the doctrine that, to avoid war, nuclear attacks must end in doom for all sides. Reagan, hating the idea of seeking peace through vulnerability, refused to halt his Strategic Defence Initiative (sdi), his (never-realised) dream of an interceptor shield against nuclear missiles. I will not have future generations of Americans live in fear,' the film’s Reagan declares, echoing declassified transcripts. Gorbachev asks how he can begin to disarm, if a shield might let America renege and strike the ussr with impunity. He dismisses Reagan’s offer to share sdi as a 'fantasy'.
Today the world has a new problem: its strongest countries are insufficiently horrified by their own nuclear firepower. America, China and Russia are all bent on enlarging or modernising their nuclear arsenals. As a result, they are either reluctant to join arms-control talks or have allowed previously agreed pacts to lapse."

Le vent s'est mis de la partie et a un peu trop malmené Aro. Nikita commence à prendre ses couleurs d'automne, ses fruits grossissent. Beaucoup de travail en perspective au jardin avant l'arrivée des jours froids.
La terre va gonfler sous la pluie, les crevasses se combleront et ma maison valsera à l'envers.

Je vais récolter bientôt les premiers Kakis de Nikita's Gilf (1,5m environ). Ils prennent de la couleur, je les couve des yeux depuis le printemps. Pas un ne manque, ils sont 15. Der Weg Einer Freiheit – Innern [Things You Might Have Missed 2025]

My experience with Der Weg Einer Freiheit differs quite substantially from our resident Eldritch reviewer. Perhaps because my first taste was 2017’s Finisterre, I never saw it, nor later Noktvrn (2021) as disappointing steps down from previous Stellar heights. In my eyes, the path that Der Weg Einer Freiheit followed in the last decade is not only a natural extension of their introspective, emotionally-charged black metal, but it has also enabled them to expand and enhance this consistently potent core to new levels. Whilst sliding into post-metal, and opening themselves to the admittedly unrefined use of gaze, the group nonetheless fold them into the speed and fury of their heavier side, ramping up the climaxes, and making Noktvrn a staggeringly impactful work whose official score here I can only respectfully disagree with. It was largely due to my love for that record that I was so excited at the approach of Innern earlier this year.1 Little did I know that it would fall to me, come list season, to give Der Weg Einer Freiheit their due.
Innern takes the fragments of Der Weg Einer Freiheit’s personality and combines them in a way that demonstrates their evolution across the board. Their flair for continual escalation, with a darkly humming atmosphere, urgent guitar lines, and a cascading torrent of percussion, has only improved. It gives first track, “Marter,” a strange yet inexorable ability to make me feel excited for an album I’m already listening to, and this tug deep in my core will resurface repeatedly as “Xilbaba,” “Eos,” and “Fragment” rush upwards toward, or collapse downwards into their own devastating climaxes. The group’s recent experimentation with softer textures is manifest in yet more layers that make the intense sound more intense (“Marter,” “Eos”) and the introspective more introspective (“Fragment,” “Forlorn”), pulling its listener in deep either way. Innern does mean ‘inside’, after all.
The music has—somehow—more presence than ever. Guitars sound downright cinematic in their grandiose, sweeping paths or resonant chimes, but whether surging or sighing, you listen. It doesn’t hurt that they carry some of the most gorgeous melodies of Der Weg Einer Freiheit’s career (“Xilbaba,” “Eos”). The final act, signified by the return of piano in late instrumental “Finisterre III” and the closing, English-sung “Forlorn,” does not weaken Innern’s resolve nor its magnetism. With decisive chords and dreamily sad scales as carefully placed for reflection as those that began the album in “Marter” were for anticipation. And the shoegaze is no longer shoehorned and segregated; unlike Noktvrn’s maligned “Haven,” “Forlorn” has bite, and it rises as it should out of the conflicting emotions of apathy and longing that final track expresses. Once again, Tobias Schuler’s drumming propels violent, beautiful storms from calm to fury and back with a graceful savagery that could send death metal percussionists packing. Innern’s use of tempos to construct an ebb and flow that rushes and crashes around the listener, and allows space for a forlorn tremolo to ring in the air, and Nikita Kamprad’s scream to hold, is little short of magnificent.
So monumental in aura is Innern, and yet, so easy to listen to. Not even 45 minutes long, and dripping with feeling, suffused with captivating melodies and compelling rhythms, the silence at its close comes with a jolt as the portal suddenly closes. Needless to say, I’ve been hitting it on repeat for a while now. The sterner side of me would acknowledge the album’s quiet(er) death—from “Finisterre III” onwards—may irk some, but as I indicated earlier, not only does the seamless and natural exhale of “Finisterre III”-“Forlorn” flow perfectly, there’s a decisiveness and a finality to this closing act that I’ve come to appreciate more and more.
If somehow you’re reading this and either a) like Der Weg Einer Freiheit but haven’t got to Innern yet; or b) have never listened to them before, but like the sound of anything above. Stop what you’re doing immediately, please, and give Innern a spin. This might be the best Der Weg Einer Freiheit ever sounded.

Being aware that 2015 is a dramatic year for making key choices for Humanity the pre-meeting in Paris called for us to to reinvent how we tackle the major challenges that face us and our planet. This calls for new ways of living and acting.
Filipino environmentalist and Senator Loren Legarda said:
“I come from a country that is 0.3 percent emitter of carbon in the world and yet we are one of the most vulnerable nations as you have seen and witnessed with Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Being a vulnerable nation that is not the cause of this vulnerability, we hope that the Philippines will be the first to show the outcome of this Summit,”
As a notable advocate of Climate Change Awareness having numerous achievements in the fields of social development and human rights advocacy on her palmares, chairing the Senate committees on Environment and Natural Resources, and Climate Change, she stated her commitment to launch a Summit of Consciences for the Climate in the Philippines.
“I will write a memo to President Benigno Aquino III and we will initiate and launch in all the cities and municipalities, barangays, and state universities and colleges all over the country our own Summit of Consciences for the Climate,”
she said.
M. Kofi Annan, Chair of “the Elders”, Chairman of the “Kofi Annan Foundation”, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations, who was greatly blessed by the birth of a third grandchild, which caused him to reflect on the world as he has known it and how it may look by the time this child would reach his age.
It was a sobering moment. I know that if action is not taken immediately to stop and reverse current climate trends, my grandson will live in a world where the average global temperature could be several degrees higher than when I was a child. The result will be suffocating heat waves, severe droughts, disastrous floods, and devastating wildfires. Entire regions would experience a catastrophic decline in food production. Glaciers and ice sheets would disappear, leading to rising sea levels – drowning cities such as New York or Venice and small island states.
This brings to mind what Nikita Khrushchev said when reflecting on the impact of a potential nuclear war:
“the living will envy the dead”.
He stressed that
“The earth is not ours; it is a treasure we hold in trust for our children. We must be worthy of that trust.”
We well be close to reaching the tipping point beyond which man-made climate change risks denying many children and their generation the right to a healthy and sustainable planet, we should know it is no science fiction, no movie and certainly not too late to take action.
Climate change is a challenge, which can and should be confronted. The history of humanity is a story of ingenuity when faced by grave threats.
It is good to hear that we already have success stories to inspire us and that since the the 1980s, when satellite photos revealed a massive hole in the ozone, already several steps are taken in the good direction.
Africa is already experiencing the damaging impact of climate change; yet no region has done less to contribute to global warming than Africa.
In 2012, Sub-Saharan Africa – without South Africa – emitted only 2 per cent of total global
greenhouse gas emissions. So it is unfair of our industrialised capitalist countries not to avoid that climate change will turn vast areas of productive land in Africa into dust
bowls, creating widespread hunger and mass displacement of rural populations.Also in the talks at the Vatican was it made clear that our way of polluting and industrialising plays a big role how the life chances of people are. It is reprehensible how certain concerns like Nestlé go to take away the drinking water in India and South America to sell it at a high price in our regions. Having more places where lack of water, to much drought or dryness makes wastelands, creates increased competition and conflicts over arable land and fresh water amongst local communities and provokes tensions between states.
Though Kofi Annan thinks there is hope:
But by tapping into its vast potential of renewable energy, Africa can boost economic growth, create jobs, and avoid the high-carbon pathway that has brought the world to the brink of catastrophe.
His Excellency M. Michael Higgins, President of Ireland finds that climate change is the great challenge of our time, already challenging most severely those already poor, for whom, if we do not act, it will deliver devastation.
Ours may be the final generation with the opportunity to effectively respond to the now urgent effects of climate change.
he says, finding this year marking a defining moment for the future of humanity.
In this year 2015 we will decide on what must be a shared universal response to climate change – and on a practical agenda for action.
We will also this year decide on what should be sought as ‘development’ in the wake of the Millennium Development Goals, in response to global poverty and increasing global inequality.The meetings in Addis Ababa, New York, Italy and again here in Paris, taken together, constitute a sequence of proximate and interlinked moments where the governments of the world are confronted with urgent choices, choices that cannot be avoided and may give us some positive expectations knowing that several people who have something to say, are listened at by those in power in different states all over the world.
From previous debates and summits we have learned that we may not be too optimistic but have to be realistic, knowing that lots of ego‘s have to be convinced of the necessity to put the hands together and to join forces.
Leaders and their representatives the last few years have been presented with enough research documents by scientists and by enough opportunities to construct a new
order for humanity and for our planet.The political and technical decisions that are to be made over the coming months may be complex, but ultimately the great challenges of our time are ethical and intellectual in their nature. It is especially fitting then, that we have been offered this opportunity by President Hollande to consider what are questions of conscience, of inter-generational justice, and that we do so here in Paris, a city at the heart of a great French intellectual tradition.

Connecting this to biblical themes of justice and stewardship creates an imperative to action – recently captured in the papal encyclical ‘Laudato Si’ – ‘On Care for our Common Home’.

The pope had asked the unprecedented ecological statement should be seen as an appeal for responsibility and a moral challenge to the global indifference to climate change.
“It is a global common meant for all but the costs are being borne by those who have least contributed to it.
This is something what we cannot overlook. We in the ‘West’ have lived like everything was at our disposal and could use everything nature provided, like nothing. Living in industrialised countries we should take our responsibility, and as I said in previous postings, we should be very careful what resources we use and from where we get our products at what cost.
The cardinal gave as message:
“At stake now is the wellbeing of the earth, our common hope. What we need is care. When we care for something it is with passion and commitment of the heart. That’s why Pope Francis called for care of the earth. A sense of passion is needed.”
It is now up to politicians and those responsible for great industrial concerns to show the world how they are concerned and how much they care.

Kann mir jemand einen guten #Sticker-Shop empfehlen? Ich brauche so ca. 50–100 gestanzte (die cut) Vinyl-Sticker, am besten mit schneller Lieferung nach Deutschland (oder Abholung in der Region Hannover-Braunschweig-Wolfsburg)
Ich weiß bereits, dass die von Sticker Mule mir eigentlich sehr gut gefallen, aber der Preis (54€ / 50 Sticker) schreckt mich noch ab. Was sind so eure Empfehlungen?

But the reason I was procrastinating this is because I couldn't decide on a good #restic wrapper! And, to this day, none of the options appeal to me

- #autorestic can't do stdin, and scheduled check/forget
- #resticprofile is too complicated and has a different mental model -
