the only news media I pay regular attn to are the NYT, WSJ, and Boston Globe, with some attn paid to NPR and a few other sources
I never use yahoo news or stuff like that

and over the past 15 years, almost every single time someone says

" The media are ignoring story X"

I find
that if you google for news about story X, or use the search function on the NYT website, you find tht the Times has run multiple articles on story X

when my mom was about 80, some sleazoid pest control company got her to sign up for monthly , paid, visits by the company to remove insect pests and in the 30 years they lived in their house they never had insect pests

i hate and loath it when the number doesn't have some measure of what the range is, eg does the report asy 400,000 to 500,000, or 445,000 to 460,000 ?

The "funny" thing about Trump's 1st term is how he kept stepping on his own toes

In the US , every "non profit", ie most charities, universities, hospitals, is required to file a tax return (Form 990) with the IRS, the federal tax authority

Among other things this form shows salaries for key employees

I think "obscene" is a fair description of the salaries for the College Board
also, they allow 1st class or charter air travel
