A 40-something deeply uncool man living in Pittsburgh. I run, parent, write stuff, do hobby electronics, and play music, all at least somewhat poorly.

There's something almost stoic about #3dprinting -- sometimes trying to get a print through is like getting hit in the face over and over again, and you just kinda have to stand there and take it. It's the useless futility of life expressed in the form of hot stringy plastic.

I'm remembering that one time I went in a run in the city of Pittsburgh and found a mysterious plate of meat, just sitting there by the side of the 31st Street Bridge. We're talking a big honking plateful; hot dogs and burgers and chicken patties. It had clearly been sitting there a while.
I took a picture, which I can't locate at the moment. That might be for the best, because I'd rather you picture the meat in your imagination, and wonder about the person(s) who left it there.

This is (intentionally) pointless, but I find it deeply satisfying on some weird visceral level
