The surprising thing to come out of the attack on MP Haines is the multi-partisan expression of a crock of bullshit by way of blame, cause, responsibility and prevention. "Lower the temperature" they squawk in galah-toned unison, without doing so. "Terrorism stalks the streets" our media gasps, for 90 seconds between ads.
(I am entirely sympathetic to Haines and her family. Theirs is an awful moment.)
