I'm reading the Zeyl translation of the Timeaus, a Plato Dialogue and the introduction opens with a intro to all the debates and problems with it.
One of them is the debate over the generated soul.
In another Plato dialogue, the Phaedrus, he says souls are not created but are eternal. In the Timaeus he says they're created in the demiurges mixing bowl.
And it hit me that I don't know where souls come from in Christian theology. Or any other theology really. Were they always around and placed in a body or were they made with the body?
