Can #NeoFinder bring you to the #moon?
No, sorry. I wish it could!
But it helps you manage your photos of that unforgettable journey!

And another nice praise for my #NeoFinder for #macOS software, this time from a user in England:
"NeoFinder is a very impressive piece of software. It does everything that I want and more. Previously, I had used #DiskCatalogMaker. In terms of functionality, NeoFinder is in a different league. It blows my mind how useful it is." Stephen M, Oakham
This is simply wonderful to hear! 😍

My #NeoFinder 9.2 for #macOS is able to import metadata presets from #Adobe products directly into the NeoFinder Metadata Presets.
I have updated the NeoFinder Users Guide with the new information:

I wrote about it in 2021 already:
https://cdfinder.de/blog/files/apple_window_stew.html
"Apple has taken a perfectly balanced and working part of macOS, and screwed it up for no particular reason."
I still very much despise this idiotic idea every single day.
It makes it very hard to do basic things like, gasp, dragging windows.
I end up with modified PDF files daily, when inadvertently clicking in the "rotate page" button instead of dragging the window.Who with a sane mind comes up with such crap? #macOS #BugFest #UX

Great #NeoFinder for #macOS praise from Canada:
"Loving the program. I am a video production professional and I am cataloging all my hard drive backups. Finding projects and footage is a breeze!" Andrew H, Edmonton

I love hearing that! 🙂

I have added another AppleScript Power Example to the NeoFinder Users Guide!
This time, you can copy metadata from the selected files into the clipboard in a text-with-tab format. This works on #NeoFinder for #macOS.
You can use that to paste the data into a spreadsheet or a database.
Yes, AppleScript is crazy powerful, and I very much love it!

@cdfinder @marioguzman Why did unify the title bar and toolbar in the first place? It's not like modern computers lack screen real estate.
Same weird thinking in the current System Settings app: Computer screens (with very few exceptions) have landscape orientation. Why apply a portrait-optimized design to this application, then? And even disallow resizing?
So many things in #AppleOS 26 are not just minor differences in opinion; they simply are violations of fundamental IxD principles.

I have just uploaded a new powerful #AppleScript to the #NeoFinder for #macOS Users Guide.
It uses the XMP Location field, the XMP Location, and the EXIF Capture Date to generate a nice new Caption with that information, in a nicely formatted way.
This is based on a script I wrote for a client that was used in preparation of a photographic exhibition.
AppleScript really is crazy powerful!

So we uncovered a very old project plan of #CDFinder 1.0, from 1996, with details on how the programming of version 1.0 went!
Amazing!
(Cool thing that LibreOffice is able to open the old Apple ClarisWorks files that we thought were lost!)
Those were the days!

Very sweet #NeoFinder for #macOS praise from #London, England:
"Thank you. I've been looking for a reliable media cataloguing product like this for years.
NeoFinder does exactly what I needed and it was a no brainer to complete the purchase." -

Mmmh, we should indeed blog about the details.
We simply use a shared tagged and extensible database format on both platforms... 😎
So using #NeoFinder and #abeMeda in a network only requires a shared folder on a NAS or file server.
