  1. CW: IndyCar

Remember how #IndyCar went 4 races without any cautions? We’re not even halfway at #RoadAmerica and up to 4 cautions. Apparently the heat makes the drivers quite crazy.

  2. I feel bad for the teams behind things like #Ionic and #Flutter who try to recreate the iOS style in cross-platform frameworks. I don't think the effects can be done at all via HTML/CSS and I'm sure whatever Flutter does will be nothing but jank.

Which of course means I might have to finally buckle down and learn Swift/SwiftUI...

  3. It may have taken (checks notes) months, but my site finally supports system light/dark mode: moscardino.net

I also got around to fixing a bunch of bugs related to #Hexo updates, including one that fully broke how I embed thumbnail images.

  9. Now I'm thinking about my silly word game that I built with #XamarinForms (lexitiles.moscardino.net). It's not like I update it at all, but it will only get harder as time goes on. Maybe I should port it (back) to #Ionic. It feels like it would be a good fit for React and modern CSS….

  14. Posting this to my own site was an adventure.

#Hexo uses highlight.js when building and I couldn't figure out how to register a new language (#Razor CSHTML) so I completely disabled Hexo's highlighting and just use Prism client-side.

I don't love loading up a script/stylesheet just for that, but I do content detection and only load it on post pages that need it.

  21. The only big thing left to address is share-sheet integration, which I still am completely clueless how to achieve with #IonicFramework or #CapacitorJS. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

Also the code is a bit of a mess and could use some refactoring, but that's always true.
