Wedding Impossible
(2024 - Viki, 12 1:10 eps)The 1st half of this show was great with lots of promise. Is it some kDrama curse that the writers give up 1/2 way through?
They had some great characters with wonderful chemistry but the writers went nowhere with the most important stories.
A struggling actress has been friends with a jaebol since high school & he arranges a contract marriage with her. The younger brother and another conglomerate wedding candidate become involved, along with other siblings fighting for a position & things are a good mess with so many potential stories that are just dropped.
A good fluff watch, but not much more.

The screenwriting was top notch on this #kdrama
#JeonJongSeo in the role of Na A-Jeong was a true revelation, as she nailed the part in every aspect.However I didn't particularly appreciate #MoonSanMin's performance as Lee Ji-han. His facial expressions are unreadable most of the time and I was only satisfied during the last episode when he acted drunk or jealous.
A lovely #KimDoWan as second ML made this contrast even sharper.

To enjoy this, I think you have to like the angst & chaos that comes from watching one "small" lie snowball into something huge.
I do love that it addresses an unusual topic for South Korea and am very curious to see what the conclusion will be.
In the latest released episode, we get to see the FL come to some realizations & I thought she did an amazing job conveying complex, & still developing emotions.

"Wedding Impossilbe" is impossibly good! I have not seen the lead actress before, but I am really enjoying her performance. I will look for her other works.
She has fantastic chemistry with Moon Sang Min.
It will be interesting to see where this story goes.

Branding in Seongsu (Viki) - took a wild turn around eps. 18 & I wasn't sure I liked where it was going. I think it's on it's way to recovery now that I've finished eps 22. Eps 24 (the end - 30 min long episodes) drops tomorrow.********************
