Wow, there's much to say about this one.
It's not the classic fairytale #kdrama. Characters go through struggles, both on a personal level and on a couple level. It's funny. It perfectly conveys nostalgic emotions in depicting a time when mobile phones were not as reliable as they're now and people still needed to show up unexpectedly.
And globally impacting events, like the IMF crisis or 9/11It's shockingly real. Watch it.

It is an excellent drama with a “good” ending in that it’s entirely plausible & realistic.
My beef with it is that the situation forced him to make a choice between work that he loved - but wouldn’t lead to a well-balanced, healthy, satisfying life & the love of his life, who If he had chosen her over work, he would have resented at some point. There was just no winning for him & I think that’s what made me the saddest.
