Oh - the reason I'm paying such close attention to the costuming is that I read in someone's blog that in the historical flashbacks, the FL wears the same color the ML wore the previous day.

So we know she has feelings for him before he does.

Just perfection!

I'm rewatching this show with Kenji's clubhouse podcast just to see what additional info he adds.

But I'm noticing things that I hadn't before - like when the homeless woman holds up a couple of playing cards, they are the Q & 9 of hearts - obvious reference to the couple.

The leads' costuming was noticeable the 1st watch - they wear black/white, coordinating colors, opposite colors, etc. You could probably tell the story just by looking at their costumes.

On the 2nd watch, noticing the secondary characters' costuming has meaning. The older sister's clothing gets progressively more bold & floral as she's being driven mad by the FL.

The dead person keeps showing up in white - which might give us reassurance about the fate.

The music, the food, the lighting, the scenery, the locations, even the colors of the title screen change to reflect the story - it's amazing the amount of thought that was put into this drama.
