    Many of us here got caught up in #kDramaCurrentlyAiringHell when it was on. So many loved it.

    I am actually rewatching it right now (on eps 13 again) with Kenji's Clubhouse podcast. (He gives insight into Korean culture throughout the episode) I wanted to see what he said about Catholicism in Korea.

    Wasn't that tango scene the best?

    Oh - the reason I'm paying such close attention to the costuming is that I read in someone's blog that in the historical flashbacks, the FL wears the same color the ML wore the previous day.

    So we know she has feelings for him before he does.

    I'm rewatching this show with Kenji's clubhouse podcast just to see what additional info he adds.

    But I'm noticing things that I hadn't before - like when the homeless woman holds up a couple of playing cards, they are the Q & 9 of hearts - obvious reference to the couple.

    The leads' costuming was noticeable the 1st watch - they wear black/white, coordinating colors, opposite colors, etc. You could probably tell the story just by looking at their costumes.

    On the 2nd watch, noticing the secondary characters' costuming has meaning. The older sister's clothing gets progressively more bold & floral as she's being driven mad by the FL.

    The dead person keeps showing up in white - which might give us reassurance about the fate.

    The music, the food, the lighting, the scenery, the locations, even the colors of the title screen change to reflect the story - it's amazing the amount of thought that was put into this drama.

    Last 4 episodes of this #kdrama haven't been easy to watch. I've reached my level of tolerance for cheesiness and lovey-dovey scenes.
    And they were too long. They could have been condensed in 2 episodes.

    So it started as a fully bingeable drama, unfortunately it ended in a less enjoyable way imho.

    Except the stunning visuals until the end: fashion, settings, photography...
    Only Gu-won's collar in episode 16 was unfolded on 1 side. What was that? 😂

    Just finished the last episode of "My Demon" and for the first time, I started sobbing at the end. Not because of what happened, but because it was over.

    I've done this with books before, but this is the first time with a drama. I mean, I've been sad it's over but this time I was sobbing!

    I will truly miss these characters. I will watch again (not going to do a review until I do a watch with Kenji's commentary), but there's nothing like the first watch.

    Wow. They showed the ultimate beauty of #KimYooJung #김유정 in E12 of #MyDemon #마이데몬 (2023). Especially during her dance routines.

    The quality of the hanbok they made her wear were also of high quality and design.

    She's so different here than her role in #LoversOfTheRedSky #홍천기 (2021).

    Or, did she grow to be even more attractive? She's only 24, looks like we now know who we will see more this year and in the next 10 years.

    (She became a child actress when she was 4 years old.)

    The person who signs the contract dies - so it either had to be her mom or dad or both?? Wasn't she about 10 when they died? Could it have been something to do with having a child or healing a sick child?

    & I'm still stuck on "Ju" being a name for Jesus & the references to her son being the spawn of the devil.

    This is basically what happened. He became a demon, forgetting who he was, but when he met her again he couldn't just treat her as another "insignificant human"™

    The important thing is that Gu-Won didn't kill Wolsim directly, his father did. Now I hope we see how he became a demon.
    And hopefully Go(o)d will prove a little more powerful, she's frankly quite disappointing as God

    #day14 : A production crew member who caught my attention

    I'm loving absolutely everything in My Demon #마이데몬
    How it's written, directed, artistically directed... And above all the costume designers did an excellent job.
    Jin Ga-young wears a sublime black dress when she performs on stage and all the cast crew is dressed in a way that immediately enhances their character. Also the rings used for the proposal are subtle yet beautiful.

    I too thought the tango was FANTASTIC!! Best fight scene EVER!!
