据知情人士透露，这项刑事调查至少从2023年就已开始进行，其中重点关注神韵领导层是否会为表演者安排恋爱关系。
《纽约时报》去年8月报道称，神韵的领导层曾试图安排外国学生与美国公民建立恋爱关系，一些前表演者认为这样做是为了获得签证。
