'Kaede' (楓) and 'momiji' (もみじ) are both Japanese names for maple.

While not a strict rule, because 'kōyō' (紅葉), another reading of 'もみじ', is used to describe 'autumn colours' in general, the word 'kaede' for many conjures an image of fresh green maple leaves.

This is the only tree turning and it's just the one branch cluster. Today, I noticed the contrast of red against green. Deeper in the tree it is more apparent, but those photos come out as walls of leaves. So I didn't use any of them.
