    五億高中生案，夏姓男子因偽造文書（假結婚）罪入獄，法院判決婚姻無效定讞，其配偶繼承權失效。遺產繼承權歸屬其生母，但因為生母為中國籍最多只能繼承200萬，也沒有台灣身份，將透過訴訟和其他兄弟姊妹爭遺產。

    It’s already been five years!

    Thanks to this legislation passing, our Australian marriage was able to be registered in Taiwan (the first foreign same-sex marriage registration in 屏東縣 😄). It has been life-changing.

    (and having a 居留證 was especially helpful when Australia closed its borders during the pandemic… we could still stay together in Taiwan!)

    Thanks Taiwan and all the people who work so hard for equality!
