#傅斯年#能伸能屈，自己不为“五斗米折腰”，却常为学者们及其家属的“五斗米折腰”。暂居李庄之时，就三天两头为中研院的三个研究所（史语所、社会所、人类所）和中央博物院“找米下锅”，安稳人心。

#傅斯年#爱才胜命，不仅不霸道，简直甘为“保姆”。对陈寅恪、赵元任、梁思成等大师敬重关照的事例不必多说，对有潜力的学术新人提携也很多。“一生最乐于成人之美，尤乐于指导青年，提携后进。”

朱家骅也为#傅斯年#的“狂狷”、“独行其是”辩护。他说，“孟真为人，磊落轩昂，自负才气不可一世，执笔为文，雄辞宏辩”；“常目空天下士，……唯其狂，所以富于情感笃于友谊。唯其狷，所以办事能坚持主张，确守职责，为要贯彻他的主张，完成他的职责，他常常能力排群议，独行其是。”

#傅斯年#具儒家名士之古风。对贪腐渎职权贵，从来没有好脸色，舍得一身剐，敢把两任行政院长（孔祥熙、宋子文）拉下马。但对基层职员、学生、工友，脾气多不冲动，反而和蔼可亲；如有冲动，常常后悔且补救。

在李庄时，史语所一个同事的小孩拿香火烧螳螂，他看到后，朝孩子的屁股踢了一脚，生气地说：“怎么从小就这么残忍！”他对这个调皮小孩的管教，流露出对小动物的仁心。#傅斯年#

1995年12月，何兹全受邀赴台，参加傅斯年诞辰百年纪念学术研讨会。会后，85岁高龄的何兹全去台大#傅斯年#墓前祭奠，行三鞠躬礼，然后和夫人郭良玉一起跪下默哀，何老先生还哭了。师者有仁，学生感恩，也是中国师生情、师生缘的一段佳话。
