I walked the dog down to Okimizu River instead of the usual Hieda park, was curious to see how the river is responding to the typhoon.
The river may have been higher and more turbulent after heavy rains I photoed a few months ago... made a .gif . This time it seemed easier to just take and post a video.

Mimata town has a great community (#地域食堂 was children's #子供食堂) cafeteria the first and third Saturday's of every month. People and companies donate ingredients and time to provide great meals. Even when they can't use dish-washing help the 300-yen (from adults, kids eat free) meal leads to some thing else in the area, chatting in the street, feeding the horse that lives nearby.. This time two sweet older people showed people how to make grasshoppers out of grass. The knots looked useful!! #三股町
