Más allá de lo afortunado o no que sea titular un obituario con un chiste de cuñao, esto ha conseguido ponerme todavía más triste en un día que tampoco estaba siendo una fiesta :mario_flop:

ZZ Top fue la primera banda de la que se puede decir que me convertí en fan, la primera que me obsesionó. Aún incluso a día de hoy, después de más de 20 años haciendo scrobbling en last.fm, sigue siendo la que supuestamente más he escuchado.

De la formación clásica sólo nos queda Billy Gibbons a quien le deseo tanto una buena salud como que deje descansar ya la banda y no haga más giras descafeinadas.

I just learned that Frank Beard, drummer for ZZ Top, has passed away.

Ever since the first time I heard of the band I've chuckled at the fact that the only guy without one had it as his family name.

Blues, boogie and fun. What a ride.

Every tribute to Frank Beard on TV/radio seems to accompany it with a clip from Eliminator. Obviously, ZZ Top’s big album, but… also famously heavy on drum machines. It’s not as though Beard didn’t have anything to do with the album. It was recorded at his house, and his love of music videos paid off big time. It’s just that there were other albums where the drums are 100% him. The guy is essentially being remembered for his robot counterpart. #zztop
