Today I learned that #ArchLinux-supplied #LMMS builds are lacking #ZynAddSubFX instrument plug-in. That completely breaks 100% of my old projects, which use Zyn for... everything.
I asked the LMMS people and they told me to download an AppImage instead of using the repository-supplied builds.

En revanche excellentes chansons improvisées avec A.S.P.E. à base de frelons, de contrôleurs et de poules.
Et bien content que mon jeune a*tiste ait essayé tous les toms et cymbales de la batterie pendant que je jouais de nouveaux sons de synthé configurés cette nuit ( je surkiffe #ZynAddSubFX )

Battle of the open source synths on Linux: #Vitalium, #SurgeXT, #Synthv1, #Dexed, #ZynAddSubFX. There's also #Helm, but it's just a precursor of Vitalium (by the same developer). There are a couple more, but these are the most common or capable ones.

I wish there was some more development of Vitalium. The creator of #Vital dropped the v1 as GPL, and then he closed sourced it. The community didn't really do much with it.

Roughly speaking, higher note numbers give you smaller fireworks, and higher velocities make them closer to you. I'd love to hear people making beats with this, preferably through enormous speakers. If you use #yoshimi or #zynaddsubfx, please follow the link and try them out.
