Y’all, I need a posse who can ride with me to #Kentucky and break a woman out of jail. (In reality, I’ve already asked my attorney to contact her attorney to ask what she needs.)

I wrote my dissertation on post mortem prenatal ventilation, where I argued that assigning personhood to an unborn fetus was a slippery slope that premised a woman’s #autonomy was less important than a #zygote, and 35 years later, here we all are.

There are many things to be angry about. The status of women in America is one of them.

Если вы когда-нибудь писали "Hello World" на Java (или любом другом C-подобном языке), то наверняка делали это в статическом методе main. Этот метод вызывается в JVM и является точкой входа любой Java программы. Но при разработке приложений для Android вы возможно, как и я до недавнего времени, ни разу метод main не встречали. Создается ощущение, что его вообще не существует, а при нажатии на иконку в лаунчере наши Application и Activity создаются какими-то волшебными гномами, спрятанными в устройстве.

I want my computer to have good functionality without requiring root.

I want to be able to control the functionality and not deal with hoops. I want to prevent stuff from running in the background that I did not ask to run.

Recently I've gotten really excited about #Enzyme as the future of #autodiff in #JuliaLang, in particular because it supports more language features than #Zygote (e.g. mutation, fast control flow, and preserving structural sparsity). I've started getting acquainted with its rules system, and I have some first impressions by comparison to #ChainRules. 🧵
