Yes! Ons voorstel - om katten van mensen die weinig te besteden hebben gratis te laten #castreren en #steriliseren - wordt vanaf dit jaar uitgevoerd! Daarbij kunnen de #katten die nog gechipt zijn meteen worden gechipt. 🐈
#Dierenartskosten zijn de afgelopen jaren erg gestegen. Hierdoor kunnen veel baasjes de #zorg voor hun dieren niet meer betalen. Via dit initiatief hopen wij dat het aantal #zwerfkatten in #Alkmaar af gaat nemen. (1/2)

I was looking for leftover building materials to start making some insulated shelters. Then I remembered seeing something in the derelict chicken coop that was on the property when we bought it. I'm glad I decided to take a closer look, with some modifications and a thorough cleaning this should be perfect! 😄

So, I finally have some progress to report on the feral cat situation! The official TNR instance for our municipality actually answered this time. They said they'll try to come out and trap #MamaLemon and #TuxTheCat as soon as they can, but they are also way over capacity at the moment so there's still going to be a waiting list.
The good news is they're finally ON that waiting list now.

Mama is back, eating treats out of our hands while hissing cause she's also scared. But she hangs around when the treats run out so she's clearly not thát terrified. Tux on the other hand... 😅
(Also Lemon is staring at us through the window. Husband went in and gave her some treats too, poor baby 😁)
