zweihander
Context: A German 2-handed sword, often used by Landsknecht’s to cast aside (or even break) an enemy pike wall and make an opening for their own forces to move in. The sword features double hand guards, or the addition of parierhaken (parrying hooks). Between these two guards is an unsharpened part of the blade called the ricasso, allowing users to half-sword the sword.

Played a fantastic game of #Zweihander #ttrpg with folks at Grim & Perilous Studios and Defenders of Kobold (can't find either to tag so if anyone knows their handles, please tag them) and immediately got obsessed w/ the world (love dark fantasy) and the chase mechanics (been looking for good chase mechanics to import into my home #dnd game!)

Speaking of #curseofstrahd, we're currently running it using #DungeonsAndDragons 6e, but I'm considering restarting it with another group after this, using either #cortexPrime , #morkBorg, #zweihander or good old #fatecore
I think the story and setting are solid, though the D&D mechanics are sometimes frustratingly myopic in their focus.
