De invalhulp die wij vandaag hadden was net begonnen in dat werk. Wij waren klant nr. 2.
Ze kwam net terug van een korte sabbatical in Thailand. Dat had ze wel nodig gehad.
Nu ging ze op zoek naar een studie. Daar had ze nu dank zij die 5 maanden Thailand wel energie voor.

The biggest single political and life-quality affecting self-foot-shooting for a large generational segment of the U.S. population in my life so far has been:
You staying home—thinking by doing so you'd send a message to those in power, and not voting against an openly aspirational dictator.
Forgetting that in a democracy, ultimately, you are the one in power.
In a democracy still under the rule of law, that is.
