  1. Conservative women there are filling the benches outside the legislature, to prevent Zooey from sitting there to work. She is suing to get her voice back in the chamber.

  2. CW: furs, zoos, ferals

To those that are confused about the situation with the #furries, #ferals, and people who are #zooey.

At the moment, the ferals are slowly turning into a zoo-friendly wing of the furry fandom.

There are still "feral" enclaves that are vociferously antizoo, but I don't think that they are going to hold out very long.

"Feral" does not inherently mean "zooey," but in feral spaces, zoos are not going to tolerate being marginalized, moving forward.

  3. I'm tired of the argument about whether or not zoo and #furry are linked.

For one thing, it is really difficult to accurately study how many people who are #zooey are involved in a particular subculture because multiple confounds will throw off your data. You end up with pseudoscience.

In my experience, though, we're actually just as likely to be interested in music, airplanes, or trail-hiking as any particular subculture. I'm mostly interested in fantasy lit and philosophy.

As weird as it sounds, yes, people with any "non-traditional" sexuality are actually more, rather than less, likely to hate others that openly express that sexuality.

This is why #furries are sometimes shockingly hostile toward the #zooey community. It's not because none of them are zooey. It's because many of them actually are, and it terrifies them.

They are afraid that self-acceptance will lead to them becoming something they don't want to be.

  5. “God damn it, there are nice things in the world – and I mean nice things. We're all such morons to get so sidetracked.”
