Today was a struggle from start to finish, wrong shoe choice, deliberately wore my Adistars as they are on the heavy side and wanted to run a slower pace but they ended up being too cumbersome.   16. I played a psych game for my 9 mile long run, longest I’ve run since early November and near the highs I haven’t run in a decade. To compel me to stay in Zone 2, fat burning zone, I went out well hydrated but fasted on an out and back run path. I pretty much nailed Zone 2 except the penultimate mile that I intentionally ran way faster. I felt strong the whole way and had plenty left in the tank. The estimated VO2max keeps going up too. I’m very stoked about how well this experiment went and how my training the last month has unfolded. #running #training #Zone2Training #fitness

Easy pace zone 2 10k to round off week 4 of #chesterhalfmarathon Was nice to go sub 60 minutes (only just 😉) for the distance but keeping it in the correct zone was more important, also happy with the splits being consistent although two were a bit quicker because of going downhill #running #halfmarathontraining #heartratezonetraining #zone2training #10krun #60minuterun #adidasrunning #polarrunning #runnersofmastodon #mastorunners #RunningCommunity #oldguysrule
