#ZLUDA 5 Released With An Offline #Compiler For #CUDA On Non-NVIDIA #GPUs
#ZLUDA5 introduces "zoc" as an offline compiler for ZLUDA. #Zoc will take a NVIDIA PTX file as input and output the #LLVM intermediate representation (IR) and the #RDNA Assembly for the GPU in use generated in turn by the #ROCm compiler.

Delighted to see my old chums, # creators Metaphrog in there too! Chatted for ages, I was recommended La Route by Manu Larcenet (adapting Cormac McCarthy), & Zoc by Jade Khoo, both pub Editions Dargaud, so added to my TBR pile (because a huge reading pile in English isn't enough, now I add French titles! Pourquoi non?)

First visit to the newly opened La Belle Adventure bookshop (225 Leith Walk, near Out of the Blue Drill Hall), although I have previously bought some books from them at a pop-up stall at @ifecosse (they also do Stockbridge market on Sundays)

Going through paper files post-move and found my registration code for ZOC https://www.emtec.com/zoc/index.html -- date on the letter is April 19, 1995. I was using ZOC to dial in to BBSes on OS/2. I paid $92 to register until version 9.99. I had to see if the code still worked, so I installed the latest version of ZOC (8.06.5) on my Mac, tried out the code, and it worked! Découverte de #Zoc, premier roman graphique de l'autrice, Jade Khoo. Ambiance très ghibliesque, plein de magie, de poésie et de contemplation.
L'histoire est celle d'une jeune fille qui a le pouvoir de tirer de l'eau avec ses cheveux. Mais ce n'est qu'un prétexte pour parler de la recherche de soi et de sa place dans le monde, ainsi que de la volonté d'aider les autres. Un petit plaisir de lecture !
