Hey, do you publish zines?? 👀

In addition to stocking both free and for-purchase pamphlets at our bookstore, we mail zines to our sustainers each month—and we're always looking for exciting new material! If you've got a recently published zine that you think would appeal to our community, send us an email about it: [email protected] 💌

What we're looking for:
• Comics, perzines, essays, poetry, or mixed format!
• At least 12 pages long (sorry, no mini zines please!)
• 60+ copies
• $5 or less per zine

We'd love to see your work, but our email will not accept attachments over 10 MB, so either send a short excerpt or a link to view the larger file in the cloud. Because we select just one zine per month to send out, we won't be able to take every suggestion!

Last month @404mediaco posted the PDF for their very cool zine about ICE surveillance technology. We love it, but don't have a riso printer—so in true distroist spirit, we downloaded the file, remixed it for B&W printing, and now we offer it to you!

This 16-page zine features articles from 2025 on Palantir’s ImmigrationOS, the use of Meta's smart glasses by federal agents, and rise of Flock surveillance cameras, ShadowDragon's social media monitoring, the Graphite phone exploit software, 3D-printed whistles, activist hackers, anti-surveillance wearables, and more!

Tomorrow dozens of national organizations are teaming up to host protests in cities across the United States. With hundreds of thousands of people hitting the streets for the first time since the effective collapse of the constitutional republic, there’s a growing need to widely disseminate information on keeping ourselves and others safe. To that end, we’re sharing a new zine based on text from @privacyguides, which includes best practices and helpful tips for smartphone security, protests, and mass surveillance. In Asheville, protesters will be rallying in Pack Square from 11am to 1pm. Members of our collective will be there distributing copies of “The Protesters’ Guide to Smartphone Security” along with practical zines for folks interested in taking effective action against fascism.

Next weekend Firestorm is delighted to be hosting former political prisoner Henri Feola for a short reading and discussion of their recently published zine, "The Veil Between Worlds is Plexiglass."

Henri's work focuses on his experience as an incarcerated forest defender, intertwining the personal and the political. This conversation will explore abolition, jail support and solidarity, and the role of art and personal narrative in revolution.
