Представьте, что можно управлять всеми приложениями, трансляциями фильмов и музыки, бэкапами, дисковым хранилищем, устройствами умного дома — с домашнего сервера. Это есть личное или персональное облако, то есть аналог публичных облачных сервисов, но на своём сервере, дома или на VPS. Например, система CasaOS изначально создавалась для одноплатника ZimaBoard (на фото), который позиционируется как мини-NAS. #ZimaCube 7th Bay 펌웨어가 그냥 ESP32 아두이노 스케치에 NeoPixel 라이트를 달아 둔 거라서 (https://github.com/IceWhaleTech/7th-bay/blob/main/README.md) 어차피 Home Assistant가 돌아가고 있는 김에 ESPHome을 올렸다. 필요한 설정 정보는 아두이노 스케치 안에 다 있었고 예상한 대로 잘 작동한다.

Since #ZimaCube 7th bay firmware is mere an Arduino sketch with ESP32 NeoPixel library (https://github.com/IceWhaleTech/7th-bay/blob/main/README.md), I decided to give a try on ESPHome and it really works. The required details for the ESPHome is already in the Arduino sketch. I already have Home Assistant running, so why not?

If you've been considering any of the Zima Cube servers, especially the non-Pro N100 model, you may want to re-consider based on the PCIe topology and constraints.
At this point, I'd rather go down the road of finding an elusive Intel N300 or N305 board and sticking that into a Jonsbo N3 case.

@deFractal Yeah making everything easier and more accessible for average person would be a huge improvement. But just the nature of self-hosting, I fear there are limitations to making it 'easy' or 'cheap' (at least in the short term) or 'quick' to deploy.
Though there are a few turnkey hardware solutions such as the #ZimaBoard or #ZimaCube or #CasaOS in general. Over time I think this area will improve.
