Everyone of the announced Magic: The Gathering sets for 2027 look amazing. And I'm very happy that they gave the spotlight to in universe sets for this MagicCon and didn't announce any of the Universes Beyond sets that are coming next year.

My favourites of the announced sets are in this order:
1. Nauctis
2. Zhalfir
3. Kamigawa

I always love me some new Merfolk (I want a cool merfolk lady with no legs and a fishtail as a commander, basically I want a cool mermaid as commander)

I see we're redoing our Magic intros... as this account is already a #MTG-specific one, my (pinned) #introduction post covers a lot of this, but it still looks like fun, so:

First pre-release: probably Urza's Saga? It was a long time ago in any case.
Favorite format: Kitchen table casual constructed
Favorite card: How could I pick just one? But also, it's gotta be Dark Ritual :black: :black: :black: 💥
Playstyle: Any and all, but I like to make my own builds, so I end up running jank a lot. Recently been enjoying Standard budget aggro on Arena, though.
Guild: no preference
Shard/Wedge: no preference
Plane: Dominaria all the way, baby! Excited to visit #Zhalfir too, since it's a principal setting from my very first Magic set (Mirage). I've been fond of Jamuraa and anything adjacent to it ever since.

Fun MTG Fact About Me: I have literally spoken the words "it's too bad Wizards stopped doing Magic cruises before I'd heard about them because now I would definitely go" out loud to my spouse, and she stayed with me anyway 💞
