I really love Zeta Gundam's episode 26 "The Ghost of Zeon".
Not because of its plot, it's mainly just another battle against the Titans.
It's the scenery and atmosphere, I just love it. Especially inside the abandoned Zeon ship.
The funny part is that I pretty much forgot about that episode after my first time watching the anime. Only after I had bought the second season on bluray and rewatched it again did it grow on me.

It's so funny that I already put Haman Karn in my top 10 characters of all anime/manga even though I haven't watched Gundam ZZ, it's just based on her presence in Zeta Gundam.

Some of my Zeta Gundam bullshit in the photo box. The Marasai was the first full repaint I tried, mostly because I roundly disliked the tomato bisque color of the stock plastic. There's a picture in the Z Gundam Mechanics book that inspired me, I think if I were to do it all over again I'd add less brown to the orange for the limbs and head.
Fucked up both the glosscoat (lumpy) and the postshading (runny) but I still love the style of this mobile suit.

Zeta Gundam Ver. KA decaled and completed, this one took longer than it should simply because I got lazy, it can tansform but I am truely terrified of doing it right now cause of the decals being water decals. So maybe in a month or two?

I was warned beforehand, but I did not heed the message. I've decided to give up finishing the RG Zeta. I got it 95% complete, but it was held together with cotton candy and a prayer lol everytime I made the slightest adjustment to one part, then another would fall off. It got to a point where I could hardly even touch the thing before things starting disassembling.
I'm going to move on to my next project, the Nissan GT-R, inspired by the Gran Turismo movie.

I've built my first MG, the Dijeh piloted by Amuro Ray on the slopes of Kilimanjaro! I really love the monoeye designs, and I also like polearms in fiction, so these two plus his wings instantly endeared me to him.

Lined out this Nemo, now to dig through the Box o' Decals for some AEUG waterslides, warning placards, and unit numbers. A quick pleasant build, for sure a Master Grade showing its age - sparse on detail and with some minor fitment issues.

Everything about the final episode of Zeta Gundam is simply amazing.
Char fighting against both Scirocco and Haman, the theater scene and the two final fights Char against Haman and Kamille against Scirocco were all on their own incredible moments.
Also, the English voices of those 4 characters were also really good. -

Finished watching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and it was amazing. I liked it even more than the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime.

Hasegawa mirror film, y'all, it's the real deal. I bought opaque phthalo turqoise ink, oops, shoulda looked closer - but 2 drops Mr Color Clear Green, 1 drop dspaie fluoro blue, I think that did it!
(Also glows under black light)

I do not love using eye stickers but jeez. I don't think I can recreate the blue-green lenses on the Zeta with paint, though I might have to try if these keep wrinkling. Gonna try one more time with lacquer over them before I scrape everything off and glue on some aluminum foil.

RX-110 GABTHLEY! An awesome #gunpla with an incredible mechanical design. It has a striking mobile suit form, an alien mobile armor form, and a really cool hybrid form, also an extremely long bean rifle/lance.
Very very cool!
In the second image I re-atached it's feet (I hate when parts go to the "gundamspace" a.k.a disappear) and it actually looks cooler!
I'm really impressed by the engineering of these plastic kits, really impressed!

The model is quite tall and the bean rifle looks awesome, it is supposed to be a well armored model and it shows. Its massive!
On the funny side it looks like the lovechild of a Rick Dom and a thick tortilla de patatas.

Fuck it! FLYING TORTILLA! Also known as NRX-044 ASSHIMAR, prototype transformable mobile armor.
Despite its appearance it was a formidable opponent capable of off maneuvering the Gundam MkII and the Hyaku Shiki AT THE SAME TIME.
It would appear in Zeta Gundam and would appear in Double Zeta and spawn new mobile armors.
This gunpla model is almost 20 years old, but the engineering is notable and the model is really cool despite some minor flaws.

I did not realize watching the anime that Gundam Wing mecha are substantially smaller than UC mecha - as I was building the Heavyarms EW I thought it a bit pinheaded - nope, it's proportional, just on a 16cm mech (at 1/100 scale) as opposed to an 18.5cm mech. Pictured, the Heavyarms next to my good friend, Gundam Mk 2 in AEUG colors.

Stupid fool that I am for Zeta stuff (even though I'm 'meh' on HGUC kits) I snagged the Gundam Base gold coat Hyaku Shiki and euch, it was definitely A Thing I Assembled. Many of the more visible bits were undergated, but ugly nubs on the forearms, wrists, and upper legs (covered, more or less, with gold leaf pen). Surface coated with some kind of post-dip grease that ferociously clogs panel lining marker. And not a fan of the translucent crimson feet and hoses.

I let the perfect be the enemy of the good for a long time, building this Marasai kit - finally gave in, hit it with decals and flat coat.

I don't feel like I have to go *super* detailed on a piece no one will ever see, but it's quick and looks pretty okay to dab a little Zeon gray, a little MS blue, a speck of white, and some gray panel liner/pinwash on the pilot.
"Kamille Bidan, Gundam Mark 2, let's do this."

Daubed a bit of dspaie Super Silver on the back of the Rick Dias sensor lens, and between that and the blue component of the LED lightstrip it pops nicely. Just gotta slap some AEUG branding decals and some flat coat on this one and call it done.
