#Zermatt, this is just absurd. Texans like me weren't built to handle *one degree* Farenheit. And at the summit we visited, it was -4 Farenheit. Got some excellent pictures though :D

Our goal of today was taking the Gornergratbahn to, you guest it, the Gornergrat above Zermatt. Because of technical difficulties the service was suspended, so we had to re-plan.
As there is an extensive winter hiking trail network, we decided to take the old way of transport: leg work!
We did not reach the 3090 meter which we would have reached by train, but got some decent views on the Matterhorn. In the end we had made a nice round around Zermatt of 3h30m.
Today was a good day.

After a fun rerouting via bus to work around a rail segment being under maintenance, we have finally arrived in #Täsch, #Switzerland. Tomorrow, #Zermatt. #OsmAnd has come in handy multiple times on this vacation. I've consciously been avoiding using the Google apps, and I am in awe of the collective efforts of all the users and contributors to #Osm #OpenStreetMap.
