i finished Z.A.T.O. // I Love the World and Everything in It last week!
it's a short but very enjoyable free mystery visual novel that fans of the genre will probably like a lot (but which maybe might be a bit too cryptic for newcomers...)

Started playing Z.A.T.O. | I love the world and everything in it.
A visual novel set in fictional city Vorkuta-5, based on the real mining city of Vorkut, north of the artic circle and situated on the Pechora Coal Basin.
So far, enticing and immersive as heck, especially due to the setting and rich dialogue. Last time I was this excited was mayyybe Undertale.

Very few games have made me actually cry. I don't mean cry at sad scenes, but actually cry at the themes and how they touch my world-view. Z.A.T.O. is one of those games. The message conveyed is touching and genuinely is what I needed, but also the writing of the characters and their interactions gets you invested in a way that developers rarely get right. I'm not a fan of visual novels. Never really played/read one before, but this was an exception.
