  1. My very first EV charger has been fitted, thanks Octopus! Now to integrate the #zappi into #HomeAssistant...

  2. Great, Zappi now forces you to login to see your own data! Pathetic! #MyEnergi #Zappi

  3. Total household electricity consumption since installing the #Zappi EV charger.

I realise I’m late to the game with this, but I find it really interesting to see the house base load (fridge, freezer, lights, WiFi, etc) steady around 200W, with small peaks from cooking. The big peaks are EV charging.

  4. CW: Massively tedious video about an EV charger software update

Incredibly boring video about the Magic Spot I have to stand in to update my #MyEnergi #zappi firmware

  5. Vorteil, wenn man den #Heimspeicher Lade'algorithmus' selbst schreibt: Mal eben das Entladen in den #Elektroauto Tank verhindern, wenn kurzzeitig zu wenig vom Dach kommt. 🤓

  6. Not a bad day for solar PV. Despite some cloud, we charged car from solar enough for 37 free miles, and exported little. Thanks to #MyErergi app and #Zappi charger

  7. Today most of our solar PV was directed to charging our car (though slowly), thanks to #MyEnergi's #Zappi. Yesterday most of it was exported to the grid.

  8. Great January day for #solar. This morning the #homebattery got charged to 95%, done two loads of washing and now the #Zappi is diverting excess to #EV rather well.

  9. Visited some #EV owning friends for a catch-up, got to try out their #Zappi home #electric car charger which topped up the MG ZS EV 2022 at a speedy rate almost 11kW

  10. @suebeesley Interesting post, I like seeing stats. We have 4.2kW of #solarPV facing 200 degrees and a 10.4kWh #homebattery, our latitude is similar to yours.
    December's stats;
    Grid Import 454kWh 6 @ 38p 398 @ 15p
    Solar gen 135kWh
    Solar consumed 134kWh
    Export to grid 1kWh
    Total house usage 588kWh
    #Zappi 200kWh 152kWh from grid
Battery supplied 123kWh to house during peak rate

    Daytime units £2.28
    Nightime units £59.70

Still working Zappi and Battery solar charging figures.

  11. Just installed #homeassistant on a micro pc using the generic x86 download. Apart from a bit of an issue getting an EFI boot entry setup, using Mint live allowed me to sort this, all seems to be running ok. Now I need to get #Myenergi #Zappi, #Harvi, plus #Foxess #homebattery and #solaredge #inverter integrated. Be great to have everything on one display instead of 3 apps. #homeassistant seems to have found my TV and Router automatically so they are on the dashboard. Neat!

  16. @AJ @ottocrat @suebeesley also good to see the wind has got up and providing a lot of power. Our recently fitted #homebattery system managed to power the whole house yesterday after a full chArge the night before. Today the solar has got it back up to 95% by lunchtime and now the #Zappi has kicked in and is now charging the car. Daytime units used since the battery was fitted 3 weeks ago has been zero!

  17. Had our home battery fitted yesterday, 10.4kWh capacity. This completes our setup of 4.6kW of solar PV, Nissan Leaf EV, Zappi charge point and diverter (not an EDDI) for the hot water. Just below freezing outside but the solar is generating over 2kW, battery storing the excess, and so far 0 units of grid electricity used today!

  18. I have a charger and have had an put the CT sensor on reversed while doing some work (so it shows grid export as import and vice versa). Could I just unclip it and reverse it myself or should I leave it to the pros? (Will have to wait days for them to return) ⚡️
