The new photo watermark feature will make its way to the latest One UI 8 version for the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z Fold7 foldable. While we are awaiting the stable One UI 8 rollout on September, with the fifth beta for the Galaxy S25 being scheduled for this week, the new photo watermark feature has been showcased by PhoneArt on X.

This new photo watermark comes in two styles: landscape and portrait. Below, you can see the two watermark styles, with the top being for portrait images, and the bottom being for landscape images.

As you can see, the images have a border that describes the device used, which, in this case, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It also contains the date and the time the picture was taken, and a bunch of camera parameters used when taking the picture.

Currently, there is no information as to when and what devices will be eligible for this feature, other than the fact that the Galaxy S25 and the Z Fold7 will get it in the latest One UI 8 update. However, it might come to other eligible devices, like the Galaxy S24.

Samsung updates the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip7 with stability improvements

Samsung has released the second patch update that allows your Galaxy Z Fold/Flip7 to be updated to the August 2025 security patch. This raises the fused bootloader version from v2 to v3 so that the rollback becomes impossible.

In addition to the usual security patch update, which happens monthly, it appears that this update also includes general improvements and bug fixes to keep One UI 8 running smoothly.

The following firmware information is available:

• SM-F966N: F966NKSU3AYGH [KOO]
• SM-F766N: F766NKSU3AYGK [KOO]
• SM-F761N: F761NKSU3AYGK [KOO]

The update is not immediately available to all countries, so you’ll have to wait for a few days to be able to download the update to your foldable.

To install this security update, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Then, you should see the update screen that tells you that the security of your foldable has been improved. Now, press Download and Install, and the installation should finish in no more than 10 minutes.

Samsung releases the first update for Galaxy Z Fold/Flip7

Samsung has recently released the first update for the brand new foldables released on July 25th, which are the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the Galaxy Z Flip7. The first update for it was surfaced first in Korea with the build number AYG5, then it rolled out to countries like the European countries with the build number AYGG for the Fold7 according to Tarun Vats, or AYGD for the Flip7. It has also been rolled out to the unlocked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold7 in the USA, as well as Canada, with the same build number as the European units.

Also, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, which is a cheaper version of the Galaxy Z Flip7 fold phone, has been updated with the same software update. However, the rollout wasn’t finished yet for the three foldables, as countries like India still didn’t receive the update until now.

This is the first security update for these new foldables, but it also increases the bootloader version from v1 to v2, so the removal of this update becomes impossible.

It's been 24 hours with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 - My Annoyances.

1. Fingerprint sensor too small, miss it all the time. Plus you have to press it to register an unlock.
2. The display screen interface of OneUI 8 in Tablet mode, horrible and the options are scattered.
3. Fast Charging? Not really. from 35% to 100% 2 hours 07 mins. That's crazy. Also smaller battery than the previous generation. 35% to 100% with the OnePlus 13, barely 30mins.
4. Too many shelf, taskbar options. Disable that, please. Everything I need is already on the taskbar or homescreen. Don't need extra.
5. Gets hot way too fast.
6. Currently CAD 2899. Insane.
7. No S-PEN or Support.
