Юваль Ной Харари на одной из дискуссионных панелей, говоря о ИИ, приводит интересный пример с индустриализацией.

Это, по версии одних, неизбежность империализма, чтобы контролировать сырье и рынки.

И неизбежность тоталитарных моделей управления, вроде нацизма и большевизма, чтобы форсировать производство и контролировать колоссальные силы индустрии — по версии других.

В итоге индустриализация стоила нам 200 лет пиздеца и сотен миллионов жертв.

И это речь только про паровые, дизельные и другие подобные машины, а теперь приходит ИИ, который не просто множит возможности экономики, а буквально меняет правила.

Мы на пороге построения гибридного человеческо-ИИ общества, и на планете нет никого, у кого есть хоть малейший в этом опыт.

Мы не имеем никакого представления о том, какие культурные и геополитические изменения принесет ИИ.

Вполне возможно, сейчас происходит процесс развертывания самой мощной технологии в истории человечества.

И вообще без понятия, как и куда это все.

Добавлю от себя, что Харари абсолютно прав: радикальные технологические изменения всегда приводили к процветанию одних, закату и упадку других.

Все это всегда сопровождалось перекройкой границ, страшными катаклизмами и резней.

Потому что радикальные изменения приводят к переформатированию рыночных цепочек и переделу собственности — а этот передел никогда не бывает бескровным.

Вопрос не в том, как этого избежать, вопрос в том, как оказаться с той частью человечества, где дела будут идти относительно "нормально".

Но ни в коем случае не с той, "где дела будут идти не очень" (с).

Je také důležité, aby demokracie zajistily, že nekontrolované algoritmy nebudou usměrňovat klíčové veřejné debaty. Určitě můžeme nechat algoritmy dál řídit platformy sociálních médií – evidentně to stejně žádný člověk nedokáže. Principy, na jejichž základě algoritmy rozhodují, které hlasy umlčí a které zesílí, však musí prověřovat lidská instituce. Co se týká názorů skutečných lidí, měli bychom být s cenzurou opatrní, jakmile ale nenávist šíří algoritmy (a navíc záměrně), můžeme to bez dlouhého rozmýšlení zakázat. Technologické společnosti by přinejmenším měly transparentně informovat o tom, jakými zadáními se jejich algoritmy řídí. Pokud se snaží prostřednictvím pobuřujícího obsahu upoutat naši pozornost, měly by zveřejnit svůj obchodní model a případné politické vazby. Jestliže algoritmus systematicky odstraňuje videa, která nevyhovují firemní politické agendě, uživatelé si zaslouží o tom vědět.

Zákon by měl zakazovat nejen deepfaking konkrétních skutečných lidí – například vytváření falešných videí s americkým prezidentem –, ale také jakýkoli pokus nelidského agenta vydávat se za člověka. Pokud by někdo namítl, že taková přísná opatření porušují svobodu projevu, měl by si uvědomit, že boti svobodu projevu nemají. Zakázat lidem přístup na veřejnou platformu je citlivý krok a demokracie by měly být ohledně takové cenzury hodně opatrné. Nicméně zákaz vstupu botům je jednoduchá záležitost: neporušuje ničí práva, protože boti žádná práva nemají.

Zatímco deontologové se snaží najít univerzální pravidlo dobra, utilitaristé posuzují každé jednání podle míry způsobeného utrpení nebo štěstí. Anglický filozof Jeremy Bentham – další současník Napoleona, Clausewitze a Kanta – prohlásil, že jediným racionálním konečným cílem je minimalizovat utrpení a maximalizovat štěstí ve světě. Pokud se u počítačových sítí nejvíce obáváme, že jejich špatně nastavené univerzální cíle mohou způsobit obrovské utrpení lidem a možná i jiným vnímajícím bytostem, pak se utilitarismus jeví jako lákavé a správné řešení. Vytváříme-li počítačovou síť, stačí jí tedy dát pokyn, aby minimalizovala utrpení a maximalizovala štěstí. Kdyby Facebook svým algoritmům poručil „maximalizuj štěstí“ namísto „maximalizuj zapojení uživatelů“, bylo by zřejmě všechno v pořádku. Stojí za zmínku, že tento utilitaristický přístup je v Silicon Valley skutečně populární. Prosazuje ho zejména hnutí efektivního altruismu.
Stejně jako v případě deontologického řešení i tady bohužel platí, že to, co zní jednoduše v teoretické rovině filozofování, se ukáže jako zapeklitě složité v praktické rovině skutečných dějin. Problémem utilitarismu je, že neznáme hodnotu utrpení. Nevíme, kolik „bodů utrpení“ nebo „bodů štěstí“ přiřadit jednotlivým událostem, takže v případě komplexních historických situací nelze vůbec snadno vypočítat, jestli konkrétní jednání celkové množství utrpení ve světě zvyšuje, nebo snižuje.
