I'm listening to my Revisitation Project playlist on shuffle while I run, and "Idiot Heart" by Sunset Rubdown shuffled into play this morning. The lyrics at the end of the song really stick in my mind every time I hear them:

"I hope that you died
In a decent pair of shoes
You've got a lot of long walking to do
Where you're going to"

I don't believe in any sort of afterlife, but the imagery of a long walk and good shoes really resonates with me (probably because I'm a runner)

Very happy that #YouTubeMusic has arrived on my #Tesla. #YTM is one of the few services that allows you to upload your own music files (inherited from their old Google Play Music). I will still use #TuneIn, for stations like #GothvilleRadio (http://gothville.com/), but the other services were just too repetitive and limited in what they would play.

So #YoutubeMusic fired the contractor org that was running the software because they were unionizing. They were unionizing because their contracting firm treated them like hot garbage.

Abusing their workforce didn't even get them anything good - #YTM is *awful* software. Like, aggressively bad.

And it definitely won't be improving now.

I admit. I've totally slept on #YouTubeMusic. It's actually pretty decent.
I was never a huge fan of #Spotify in the first place but I like how #YTM basically already knows what music I like since it gathers that data from my #YouTube likes. I don't have to feed the algorithm for it to understand.

Not sure if I'll ever pay up for the Premium service (YouTube Premium that basically contains YouTube #Music Premium) since 12€/mo is quite a lot of money and the free version is plentiful.

Since it’s included with my #youtubepremium subscription, I DO use #YouTube Music in the car when we travel, or when I need to play from my phone. Interesting highlights!
