Und wieder schlägt ein schlecht geschriebenes Script auf Youtube zu und treibt tausende User in den Wahnsinn des bekloppten KI Supports der überhaupt nichts supportet ausser dich gegen eine Wand laufen zu lassen.
Das wurde bestimmt von dem gleichen Idioten gepromptet der dem Youtube Algo eingeredet hat das Zeichentrick IMMER für Kinder ist, auch wenn vom Creator angegeben wird ausschließlich für Erwachsene ist das für Kinder. -
YouTube boycott update: still going. My internet keeps popping in and out, usually requiring a router reboot. But I'm not missing YouTube either way. I'm bored, yes - but YouTube is just another way to be bored, and I don't need it.
I think I'm working towards some sort of change in my life. Not sure where it's taking me, but at least it will be *somewhere*.
Hey, what's the story with Beige.party? I've seen posts from some users, and some references, but I don't know much about it.

Well, this was the third day of my unplanned YouTube boycott. I didn't use YouTube at all, not even YouTube Music.
My son *did* use YouTube on the big TV while we were having dinner, and I even watched - but I didn't log into my own YouTube account, and when I was done with dinner I went back upstairs.
I think my next project is to document all of my YTM playlists and download any songs I'm missing.
It wasn't until I started boycotting YouTube that I started to realize how many posts here on Mastodon include YouTube videos. I didn't click on any of them. I favorited a few where I thought the text was good, but I didn't boost any of them as I thought that would seem hypocritical of me.
Does that sound pompous? Probably. Oh well.
I didn't post as much today as on the last few days; sorry about that! I'll try to think of things tonight that I can write and post tomorrow. Maybe some lost media of one sort or another.

1. Mastodon
2. Internet Archive TV & movies
3. Radio - local AM and, sadly, NPR
4. Writing, mostly for Mastodon
5. Cleaning the kitchen
6. Baking a chocolate cake -
I'm seething.
I'm trying to find a song on YouTube - a perfectly ordinary song. I can find it, no problem. But Google/YouTube INSISTS on forcing a "radio" link on me. So what I get is the song I wanted, PLUS INFINITE ADDITIONAL MUSIC THAT I *DON'T* WANT!
I want Google dead.

YouTube is the video platform where you can find basically any content. However, these day, it became an intrusive, privacy invasive money generating machine. I used to use the hashtag #LemmySucks but I #overlooked that it's #FLOSS #OpenSource etc.
Now if I use #YouTubeSucks and I'm the only one using that...I'll #facepalm so hard that I'll feel really really sorry for the #fediverse at large.
I'd probably feel we are #doomed but #HopeDiesLast.

I know this is not new. It is incredibly frustrating to see YouTube encouraging content creators to make thumbnails with their face reaction to it. It is making me feel old and horrific of the current state of YouTube.

CW: Tale of the red giant and the little dwarves
Once upon a time, there was a red giant. It had a big white triangle nose, and really annoying behavior. It lived near a dwarf village and its hobby was to spy on the little dwarf villagers, and bully them by saying things like "Your suit is so ugly, you little astronaut guy!" and breaking the little red shields of the little dwarf soldiers. The little dwarf villagers often asked the annoying giant why it does this, but they didn't get any answer.
One day, the dwarf villagers had enough of this, they decided to fight the annoying red giant back. They picked up all knifes they found at home, then joined forces on the field next to the village. There were invidious dwarves with a knife juggler holding 4 knifes as their leader, Anime fan poking dwarves, piping dwarves who like to pipe commands in their tiny little penguin terminal, industrial worker dwarves who produce new pipes, cloud dwarves who like watching clouds on the sky when they're bored, blocker dwarves with red and green shields, some of them with white hand, others with U and B letters, white triangle, A and B and P letters or white checkmark painted on their shields. The astronaut dwarf also came to join the fight with its brave lion pet. Other pets also came to help their little owners, a whole army of octopuses came, holding knifes in their tentacles, riding elephants. Seeing the big crowd, the old dwarf whose snore is heard in the entire village as a loud rumble at nights, and the pilot dwarf who likes to chute from its plane a bit every day, also joined the crowd.
The army was ready to take the fight!

Sometimes comments with no controversial text, but with URL (I like to provide receipts!), get silently nuked☹️😡👎 - even YouTube URLs!😡 #YouTubeSucks #IHateYouTubeFCOL, #YouTube should, at the very least, show "URLs not allowed" so people don't waste time trying...
