PSA: #Youtube Premium Lite is still available in Germany and it happily accepted my money when using a German VPN exit.

Long rant:
I don't mind paying for YouTube, at all, I think there is so much great content there I'm happy to pay for it.But I don't want to pay for YouTube Music because I already pay for Spotify and I think their bundling of Music is as anti-competitive as Microsoft bundling teams.
I was a happy user of Premium Lite since it was introduced, until Google for some reason decided to not offer that in Finland anymore.
Which annoyed me so much I did the cheap-premium account somewhere else trick to get a "real" premium for a reasonable price.
And apparently I was not alone because Google started clamping down on it recently.
So after living a few days with ads, I decided to look into this again, and saw a comment saying Lite was available in Germany. And lo and behold, it was true.
It was re-introduced shortly after being removed, I assume they got told off by German antitrust regulators. But either way, if you want it try a VPN. And hopefully it won't get blocked next month by their fancy new location detection. But until then, another month of hassle free and ad-free youtube.
