Last night before going to bed I heard all this rumbling and didn't know if we were about to have an earthquake or the heater was about to blow. I went to the window and here's this huge earth mover breaking off chunks of ice and piling it in the middle of the street. Took a look this morning and it's all gone. #Yourtaxdollarsatwork

Today, I
- realized in class that I'd prepared the wrong paper (I'm supposedly the instructor)
- learned that, in addition to the twenty-seven (27) *&%& documents for my Academic Program Review, I have to write a twenty-eighth document "study welcome/overview".Good thing I have office hours right now (and no visitors).

I'd like to point out WE DON'T MAKE BATTLESHIPS ANYMORE FOR A GOOD REASON:
Like their new namesake, they are SLOW, INEFFICIENT, and easy targets (so I guess it's entirely appropriate to name them after #PizzaTheHut.)
The "big guns" of the high seas in the modern age are Aircraft Carriers, not battleships.

Well that was 7+ hours that should’ve been an email.
What’s worse is that the only meaningful thing to come out of the meeting was that it probably was a superspreader event. 100 people from across the state, many coughing, and only two of us wearing masks.

For today’s work adventure, I get to drive two hours each way to Sacramento to..:watch a three hour PowerPoint presentation. No remote options because <insert ever-changing lame excuses>. The state of California delude themselves into thinking they are an enlightened, progressive government but really they are just another dysfunctional organization stuck in the mid 20th century.
