The Center for Politics has indicated that Youngkin wrote a letter to incoming governor Spanberger that essentially mansplained university governance and went so far as to tell her what she can and can not do. This was just mentioned on the WUSA-9 live stream of the inauguration.
I'm so glad Virginia is finally getting another governor that is willing to stand up against this type of misogyny.

US Dist Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles rejected arguments from attys for Gov #Youngkin (R), who had signed an executive order Aug 7 to expedite the removal of #RegisteredVoters who checked a box on their driver’s license applications indicating they were not US citizens. FULLY QUALIFIED VOTERS who simply skipped or overlooked the question have been caught up in the purge, as have those who became #citizens years after their first interaction w/ the DMV.

There is good reason to think the #Republicans can lose in 2024, and that some other candidate, cough #Youngkin cough, would be more electable. Reasonable people are baffled Republicans won't forsake #Trump.
But #electability isn't a concern for #Repubican primary voters, who believe that Joe Biden is #demented and keeps falling down, and believe the #BigLie that Biden already lost to Trump in 2020.
