I binge-watched this series in a few days this week. It had popped up in my recommended list on Netflix, probably because I've watched several series with #YooYeonSeok. He doesn't disappoint in this series, with a wide emotional range. I especially loved that this series really portrayed the messiness of love and the sadness of both parties when relationships end. It's lovely. 9/10

I just finished Kdrama When the Phone Rings. It's a very watchable mystery / thriller (that gets a little soapy).
Yoo Yeon-seok does a good job as the male lead but...
The first role I saw him in was as Goo Dong Mae in Mr. Sunshine, and now it is a disappointment to see him clean-shaven without long hair, scruff and eyeliner in other roles. (Aka Aragorn Syndrome) 😅 1/n

A makjang with some profound writing, & very suspenseful! However, you must assume the FL is bouncy or some things aren't believable. Talented actors playing interesting characters with growth, amazing chemistry, cute 2nd couple, bromance & womance make a binge-worthy watch.
Communication is a central theme in this story. The questions of how you speak your mind, when you speak your mind, & who has the right to tell you whether you are allowed to speak or not apply to several characters.

In 20+1 episodes you have time to see great character development, & agonize with them over ethical questions, & watch their characters be tested, & see them discover what being a doctor means.
The acting is wonderful. The side stories are good. The patient stories bring up so many medical dilemmas, which intertwine with the hospital staff's stories in unexpected ways.
While this wasn't a binge for me, it is an excellent drama. It’s no wonder there is talk of season 4. I will continue with season 2.
