@wtrmt very interesting! Thanks for sharing. And yes, UX is definitely about people as the users (per https://www.nngroup.com/articles/definition-user-experience/). In my article, I was using AX to denote the equivalent for agents. My main point wasn't that AX is replacing UX, but that "it's time to go beyond traditional UX," as I put it in the concluding subheader. #YMMV

@thezerobit I do recall the before times.
UI, beyond the desktop norm anyway has to adapt to display anything and inheritance is a great shortcut in this regard but, like everything else, can be abused, never rebased, and ignored adhoc.
Starting from a blank page it is possible and even desirable, some might say enjoyable to write in a properrly ruled oop manner.
But as always whatever is/was best for the project wins, Hell I've shipped the ui in procedural pascal before.

@booty I got a D35 in the rear, D30 front in the JKU, it's a Sahara. The Rubicon offers a D44 *option*. The Sport and Sahara versions have 3.73 ratio gears (same as #XJ). Lower trims have... lesser options.
My XJ has a C8.25 in the rear (it was a conversion from 2WD to 4x4, the tow pkg option also offers that) and a D30 front, 3.73ratios. It goes places, looots of places. =)
People give a lot of shit to D35s and D30s, but mostly I find that is the "short-dick-compensating" syndrome, characterized by accessorizing-uber-alles that plagues the Shopping Mall Crawler community of "jeep".

Adding a locker to the factory diffs (if they don't already have them) allows for a 3.73 D35 to outperform a D44 that has "electronic" (i.e., brakes do the job) traction control only.
I like #Torsen type diff lockers, because of their hands-off trait. They are more expensive, but so worth it. Other types according to your preferences, obvs.

I didn't hate those films, well all of em anyway, but mercing Jimmy Olsen by shooting him unnamed in the face in front of Lois seemed disrespectful. Every word Pa Kent said seemed highly disrespectful of all involved characters.

@cR0w I use Proton. I don’t really trust them. It’s not a security service for me though, just a privacy option that gives me a lot of what I was looking for in that regard - something not Google, Microsoft, Apple or Yahoo and in the EU. I read all their documentation before switching almost two years ago. They were quite transparent that they would provide the information they had about an account when served a valid Swiss warrant. They even list how many times they’ve done it: https://proton.me/legal/transparency. They aren’t small numbers. If I need security, and I am not saying I do or don’t, I would not use a single service or a well known “we’re here to make money” company like Proton or a credit card even a privacy.com card. Being angry about this is like being angry at the scorpion for stinging the fox. What else did you think he they were going to do when served a valid warrant? I feel the person outed was a victim of their own assumptions as much as anything. If you are going to go up against the state, especially when you know they’re gunning for you, don’t be dumb I say. The movie Number 24 should be your guide. #ymmv

@Anibyl Carbon is what carbon does :-). If you ride your carbon bicycle a lot, it will have these sorts of "cracking" issues far sooner than a steel frame ridden the same distance. It seems pointless unless you are part of a racing team with a mechanic and you get new bicycles every 5 years or less OR you have lots of $ #Ymmv

You might be on to something, imho
Over the years I have done keto, low carb and straight up fasting.
I’ve noticed that about 15 grams of carbs right before bed helps my sleep a lot under those conditions. (grapes or jelly beans usually)
Doesn’t take much calorie wise #ymmv

I am far from being a security or computer expert but it seems most our data "leaks" are because of apps.
I would hope that corporations and small/medium sized businesses would stop making "their" app mandatory to do business with them because of this assumption of mine.
It won't happen until data leaks cost the businesses/entity so much money that they can't shrug off that cost.

@chriscorrigan lol i personally (probably wrongly) think there are too many umbrellas on the streets of the city of Vancouver. i hate umbrellas because they break & also because i live in fear of poking somebody or being poked by somebody's umbrella (many of the people w/umbrellas have hoods on & therefore greatly reduced peripheral vision). So 99% of the time I just wear a raincoat (and often rain pants) and a waterproof cap (not a hood!) none of which break for years unlike umbrellas :-) #Ymmv

Went to a new vet.
Got an extra 4 years with her, beyond what my original vets were telling me.
I was cynical but her appetite and energy absolutely improved after treatment. The treatment gave us time together, that's all I can tell you 🙏

It is for this reason (among others) that I always edit novels in plain text, then smart-quotify the files later during formatting, and then visit every instance of single or double quotes to make sure they have the correct polarity (for “American English”. In other languages #YMMV and #caveatemptor of course.
MS Word is particularly bad at handling word-initial apostrophes with the correct polarity... and ’eaven ’elp you when mixing singles and doubles.

I've been away for a bit. Nothing grandiose in the making, just swamped with work and other stuff. One thing I did manage to find time for, was the very excellent and splendid #series #SASRogueHeroes. I'm not usually one for war dramas, but this one knocked me off my feet. Well worth a visit if you happen to have exactly the same taste in television and music as I do. #YMMV, naturally.
