We were full, but we couldn’t resist a new brewery, and I’m glad we made ourselves fat and bloated. Dead Language Beer Project in Hartford, CT makes some of the best lagers and rauchbiers I’ve ever had.

Redding Beer Company, Caius Farm Brewery (Branford), and East Rock Brewing Company (New Haven) have some competition in the “let’s not have six NEIPAs on tap” brewing space! :yelp: :untappd: :ctbeertrail:

Bad news for my fellow Nutmeggers: City Steam Brewing, our state’s second brewery after Prohibition (after Cottrell in Pawcatuck, since closed), is shutting their doors on March 31, after 27 years in business in downtown Hartford.

Today's lunch was at 4505 Burgers and BBQ in San Francisco. 4505 is the reigning champ of my never ending quest to find the greatest burger. The burger is excellent, with grass fed beef, bacon, sunny side up egg.... Mmmm. The brisket was excellent as always, and the happy hour tacos were awesome.
