Traffic Delays - Yellowstone River Bridge

Expect up to 30-minute delays on the Yellowstone River Bridge, near Tower Junction, while crews perform paving operations. Crews will work during the day until August 7, and at night from August 9-15. Dates and times are subject to change based on weather.

Be alert, especially this time of year around Mammoth Hot Springs. Elk calves may be hidden close to buildings, under or next to vehicles, and around blind corners. You must remain at least 25 yards from all wildlife. If an elk charges, retreat!

Bottlenose #dolphin delight in Vidlin Voe

The pod which included several calves could be observed from late morning onwards before they were all heading out to sea again later in the day.

Pods of this size are extremely rare in Shetland’s inshore waters, with only four previous documented sightings.
