Walking home now half an hour ago, I saw someone get hit by a car crossing Gretzky drive southbound at 118 ave. They're alright but their bike is messed.
Technically the driver was at fault - they had a red light, they person they hit was crossing on a walk light, they did the classic turn right / look left to merge.

Edmonton’s funicular is closed after vandalism. City says it’s under repair from Aug 13–14, 2026. No extra details yet, we’ll keep you posted on when it reopens. Stay tuned for updates.
