As the Year of the Wood Snake promised subtlety and adaptation, the U.S., China and Japan instead delivered strategic blundering, authoritarian overreach and geopolitical instability. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/commentary/2025/12/26/world/good-riddance-year-of-the-serpent/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=mastodon #commentary #worldnews #china #chinesezodiac #2025 #2026 #yearofthewoodsnake #yearofthefirehorse #indopacific #us #donaldtrump #xijinping #ishibashigeru #sanaetakaichi #usjapanrelations #chinajapanrelations #uschinarelations

Another Chinese New Year artwork from me! Rua from my Chronicles Of Ciel fantasy light novel series, dressed in traditional Feitian fairy costume from Chinese legends. I used fineliners and felt tip markers. 2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake, hence the green snake and borders. I didn't want to neglect drawing my own original characters ❤ #chinesenewyear #ChineseNewYear2025 #YearoftheSnake #YearOfTheWoodSnake #oc #originalcharacter

Happy New Year - Welcoming Year of the Wood Snake 🐍
We can expect to connect with others intensely since the wood snake enhances compassion and empathy.
I think we could all use a world with more compassion and empathy right now ....
