  1. New year, new intentions but let’s make them kind, realistic, and empowering! Instead of resolutions, set intentions like: “I will prioritize self-care ,” “I will set healthy boundaries ,” or “I will practice mindfulness daily .” Intentions guide, they don’t pressure.

  2. The last day of the year isn’t about fireworks or fresh starts.
    It’s about honesty.

    What shaped you this year?
What cost you more than it gave?
What deserves to go with you into what’s next?

You don’t leave a year behind by turning the page.
You leave it behind by carrying forward what mattered.

    Sit with that tonight.

  4. These final days before the New Year matter more than we think.

    Not for resolutions.

    Not for reinvention.

    But for quiet renewal.

It is time to slow down, pay attention, and let clarity settle in.

    Don’t rush past this space.

    Make the most of it.

It’s already preparing you for what’s next.

  5. The week between Christmas and New Year’s is strange, but this is where the next year actually starts.
    Not with resolutions: with decisions.
January rewards the people who used this week well.

  6. It has certainly been a(nother) Year, but for a change, I can't say it's one I've felt I've needed to just get through. In a lot of ways it's been feeling foundational to whatever 2026 will bring. Although I'm still more cautious than optimistic -- the last few years have taught some very difficult lessons -- I at least feel able to stop peeking between my fingers at the new year, and able to face it head on.

  10. I survived sometimes constant suicidal ideation. I went through incredibly intense trauma therapy (EMDR). I formed multiple loving relationships, many of which ended, some painfully.

I gained weight. I resolved to lose it again in the coming year. I had COVID. I struggled with substance abuse. The battle continues.

I worked two full time jobs. I got laid off from one. I struggled to make ends meet despite being having the salary of a tenured professor.
